disk useage 100%? win 8

Hi recently I've been getting dips in frames at times past few days I've been trying to watch blu rays and keep getting a slow down and the disk becomes unreadable I open task manager it says my hard drive is at 100% and the response time is in the thousands any tips please I have 16gb ram and have a 78502Gb card and I'm using power dvd 12 pro

Open Resource Monitor (perfmon.exe /res). Look on the Disk Tab. See what's causing it.

Thanks I'll give it a try it keeps coming and going I seem to notice it more when trying blu rays is the reigstry a problem factor ?

Not sure what you're trying to do here. Just use your eyes and tell us which process is reading/writing the most during the times of 100% disk usage.
