Yeah I will just drop down to the lower package when my sub runs out in April. It gives me everything I need.
Disney Plus price hike - anyone found a cheaper way??

There's a 3 month trial out for new customers at the moment. Was about to sign up using the wifes email address to see what has changed and then I saw the trial was for the llamatron ad supported tier so sod that. I'll stick to my eye patch.

I’ve had my own server for years. I did also sub to all services, but no chance anymore. Way too expensive

Already cancelled and will look at other methods. Honestly, they might have added another tier that's the same prices but every year the price will just keep going up or services will be decreased unless you pay more. So decided I will vote with my wallet. Only thing left at the moment is NowTV but can't see that staying for too long.
I've still got a couple of Disney+ codes on my Clubcard account from last year which expire soon, but annoyingly they've refused to add them to my existing subscription, even though they were happy to do last year and the email says it can be done. Will try again in a day or two the hopes I get a different rep who can offer a solution.
I had that issue, don’t you have to cancel your subscription and have it actually expire then top up with a clubcard code? It was definitely a hassle for me the first time it ran out after 3 months.
Ours is up for renewal and I have enough in the clubcard for another 3 months but I’m not going to bother right away.

With 5 days remaining, I have now cancelled Disney+. It was fairly easy to do - go into account settings.
For me, Disney puts too much emphasis into Star Wars and Marvel nowadays. Too much politics as well. I preferred Disney when they were just Disney with their original hits, the 90s comeback decade and Tangled, Frozen, Frog Princess etc, and no politics. They weren't even that long ago. It's just that Disney doesn't make that sort of stuff any more.

I let my subscription lapse for 1 day, used a Samsung code for annual Disney+ standard (1080p) then paid just £2.99 to upgrade it to Premium (4k HDR) for the entire year.
What you said is partially true. How long is £15 valid for? I am Turkish, and I enable people to get an annual membership for £50. £15 doesn't seem very realistic to me, to be honest.
