Display driver has stopped responding...

It's definitely the GPU. Been running on the 2500k's integrated for the last few hours, no problems. So gonna RMA it :(

Ok, if it at least runs with the integrated GPU, do a 1hr OCCT run and post the graphs if you can, it could be that you need a little more NB voltage or something. :)

I'm not sure I'd jump to a RMA quite yet, I'm running a GTX 480, and recently downloaded the latest driver (windows 7 also had it as an update lately), I am now also suffering this problem on occasion. I am beginning to think there may be a few flaws in this latest driver patch, however I may be incorrect?

I'll try doing OCCT now, see how it goes :)

Just played a few games of Starcraft 2 on integrated, so at least I know I can play a couple of games like cod etc for a while till I get this sorted :)

Nice, hopefully it will pass the OCCT stress test you'll get some nice funky graphs at the end of it. :)

If it fails however, I usually find upping the mem voltage is worth a go before delving into any of the more advanced BIOS options...

Just on a whim, decided to re-enable my 580...

The second screen came on, and all now seems well! No problems, hangups or anything! It's only been 10 minutes, but it looks promising so far. Downloading the 270.61 drivers anyway, as these seem to have the least problems of any :)

Right, I thought I'd fixed this issue, however it persists.

Any other ideas, before I RMA? :(

From your water cooling thread, your pipe on your GPU popped of it's barb, I'd imagine there was a lot of water all over the card?

Also this is the card that was in that MSI board that blew up?

TBH mate, it's not looking good, water leak then board blows up, you put GPU in new board and your having problems, sound's like the GPU got damaged somehow.

Nah the leak didn't damage it at all, it was only a minor one from a rad barb :)

I have a feeling the motherboard took the card with it, I'll get the original cooler back, or buy one from ebay and rma it :(

Yup. It now boots into windows fine, I've had a couple of lockups in game, until I raised the bclock higher to 101mhz. Now, with a minor voltage boost it's running fine, well, stable in starcraft anyway and that is stable enough for me :D

Really does seem like it was linked to the baseclock. How very odd.

Just updated the bios for the mobo as well, seems to be running fine

Me too :D

I need my fix of Starcraft! Even though I can actually play both that and the other games that I play regularly off of the processor graphics, with med detail at 720p but don't tell it that :D

Oh dear, started getting this error randomly while playing MW2. Guess an RMA is still needed :( Shame, really, as I was quickscoping like a bau5 :D

I fixed driver crashing problems on a 5850 by updating direct x from the website installer. Worth a go?

Nope, have the latest dx11.

Cheers anyway. Doesn't happen as often as before, I've tried setting my onboard as the primary, which obviously affects gaming performance, but at least I have two screens now :D
