Display driver reset problem

Don't use firefox. Its widely known that firefox is a TDR inducing program
I only ever got it in firefox and there is a simple solution...

Tools > Options > Advanced > Uncheck 'Use Hardware Acceleration'

You'll never have a TDR when browsing again.

Spoke too soon! Its come back again now, I dont think overclocking fixed it properly, it did make it happen less often though. I will keep my 750 at 4ghz for now because the speed is awsome :D

I think I will bid on the ASUS P7P55D-E DELUXE since I am feeling confident about it fixing the problem for good, will keep my old board around for a while in case it doesnt. The board has a ton more features and its much physically bigger than my current board. Auction ends 08 Feb, 2012 13:19 :)

Not too keen on peoples suggestions to disable hardware accel on Firefox, it only masks the problem rather than gets rid of it. And it can still happen in games etc too! Thanks anyway!

Same thing is still happening to me no matter what drivers i try lol.

I hope the put out some decent drivers soon.

Its funny though, it doesnt happen while gaming, only when i use media player or whatching youtube videos.

Random, i know.

This is a big problem for a lot of Nvidia/AMD users and if you do a google search for 'the display driver has stopped responding and has recovered' you will see forum after forum with people having problems.
I used to think that it was a windows 7/vista problem as it only happens on those operating systems but in my case it was a lack of volts going into my OC card and touch wood I have not had the problem since.
There is lots to try like setting the TDR value to 6 / memtest / setting the gfx card to performance / do a complete uninstall of nvidia/amd drivers and reinstall. Some work for some and some never work for others but nothing to lose in trying.
