Im having some trouble with my display driver it keeps resetting its been happening for a few months now and is extremely annoying, it mainly happens when im gaming but sometimes when im on the net, the screen goes black then comes back but sometimes it dosn't come back at all so i have to reset my comp and that dosn't work all the time either. I've set my pc to factory settings and it made a slight improvement but hasn't fixed it any help would be great. The card and PSU are less than a year old if that helps

What version of drivers are you using? If using the latest, have you tried using an older set? (there will be plenty of recommendations out there for the most "stable" set).

I take it you're getting the "display driver recovered from an error" message?

Im using the latest ones after trying some older ones but it still keeps crashing, had a similar problem when i first got my pc and around the same time as now changed my card and it solved it its strange that its happened again thou my cards not even a year old. and yes it is that message monitor seems fine, im considering an RMA

Just a few stabs in the dark, but is the separate PCI-E power connector properly seated? Is the card properly seated in its slot?

I was getting this a lot when I first built my new rig but I can't for the life of me remember how I fixed it. I'm pretty certain it was either driver/connector related. Make sure you remove and clean old drivers properly before installing new ones.

Are you overclocking the card with Afterburner? I'm not sure if the video card retains settings after reinstall or whether it's purely app based. I know I managed to make the display driver restart a *lot* when I was being particularly agressive with clocks. Make sure you apply defaults to the card?

The card isn't overclocked so its not that and i reset my CPU to stock, as i heard this can cause it made it do it less but im sure there's something else i can run fur mark and Heaven fine no problems it mainly happens on WoW and DOTA2 not so much on RO2

Well i gave the comp a good clean hoovered out the PCI slot and re-seated it and it hasn't done it yet, if it starts again ill downclock the card like you said wazza and then see.
