I upgraded most of my system today and everything seemed good but when im in the games i play i am getting quite random "display driver stopped working" messages
the games im playing are BF3 and Rift, BF3 is on auto settings (high/ultra) and seems to run fine until i try to run xsplit for streaming at the same time

Rift however has these issues even when xsplit is not running and has happened in high graphical areas but also when i have reduced settings to low it happened also (default settings are ultra again)

my specs are
i5 3570k @3.8ghz
8GB DDR3 1600mhz RAM
MSI 6950 2GB
Gigabyte Z77 D3H
Alpenföhn Matterhorn Pure Edition Cooler

any help or insight appreciated
thanks

Got the latest drivers installed? If you updated, did you remove the old drivers beforehand? Especially if you went from an Nvidia card to your AMD.

upgraded components were ram cpu motherboard
i did a clean install of OS
graphics drivers are up to date (same ones i had before the upgrade with no problem)
i havent OC'd the GPU yet

the error seems to come up whenever im nearing 60+ fps and the fans seem to go full throttle,
i dont really want to have to put a fps limiter on in games as a workaround as i upgraded for better frame rates :(

temps are higher than they should be i think,
its around 75c-80c under load
idle is 38c-40c
the display driver error is happening less now but the temps and how loud the fan is getting are quite worrying

i guess it could do with a clean, i dusted it off and tried blowing all i could outta there when i set up the new system , is taking off the heatsink advisable or should i just invest in a can of compressed air to clean it out ?
