Hi Folks,
I've got a GeForce GTX 1060 Mini 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card in my rig and while I decide which new monitors to buy that have display port inputs I wanted to get a DVI adaptor, as I have 2 monitors and wanted to use DVI on both as the image does not seem to be as good over the HDMI that I am using on one of them atm.
Was looking at this one first 6 ft DisplayPort to DVI Cable - M/M (DP2DVI2MM6) but it says it needs a DP++ port and I cant see in the spec of the card weather it supports it, it just says DP 1.4?
Also looked at this one DisplayPort Male to DVI-I Female Converter Cable which is cheaper and although it dosn't mention the DP++ thing I assume it does need it as the active ones are much more expensive.
So does anyone know if the DP 1.4 in the spec of the card mean it supports DP++ or not?
Thanks for reading :)

Make sure full range RGB is enabled in the nVidia control panel or HDMI will look a bit meh.

Thanks Rroff, will check when I get home, unfortunatly the 2nd monitor only has DVI/VGA inputs so had to use HDMI on the main one and it just dosn't look as good :(

IIRC DP++ means the port can transmit DVI/HDMI signals as well as DP so just needs a physical adapter (like when converting DVI-I to VGA). If the port it non DP++ then it transmits DP only and will require a signal converter to change it to DVI/HDMI (like converting SCART/Component to HDMI).

Could be wrong though but that's how I remember it.

Yeah that's what I sort of gathered from the discription on the £20 adaptor, although I thought it was strange that the cheaper £10 one didn't mention it.
