So ive moved everything onto my new case and there's a problem.

Im not getting display on my monitor at all, just goes power saving mode.
When the PC starts up, the fans on the GTX 560 are working, but still no display.

help ?

I tried using one memory stick into the black slot, got display. tried putting it in the blue slot (because of CPU cooler) and got 1 long beep and 2 short, no display.

What now ? arent the slots the same ?

Mhm, but for Now I dont have anymore spare time than 30 mins or so to fix this.

Both memory sticks work in single black slot, I cant use the other one because it's blocked. Both memory sticks dont work in blue slots.

...?

So, you get display if one stick of ram is in a particular slot? This is with one stick only installed? If so, try other ram configs. Test ram.

Far too soon to suggest new mobo. To many other things to rule out first. And it's likely to take a lot longer than 30 minutes, i'm afraid.

Only got 3 ram slots avaible at the moment because one is blocked by CPU cooler.

Ok. Both ram sticks work in that single black slot, and I boot up to windows fine.

When I use one stick in any of the blue slots, I get no display and 1 long and 2 short beeps. Both sticks in blue slots = same

So it looks like only the blue slots are not working.

Ive already ruled out the CPU and GPU, both stressed and benchmarked as of now and performs fine.

I may be wrong but don't motherboards have distinct sets of slots to utilise for different ram configs? It does sound a bit like a dicky ram slot then. Is there no way you can use both black slots? Might save the cost of a mobo.

Nope, absolutely no way. Any cooler config I would try would still block one of my slots.

Like I said, PSU, GPU fans and performance, CPU cooler and performance, all working fine, including this one RAM stick and the other in the black slot.

Tried a BIOS update to the latest version? Could be that the blue ram slots are faulty, or that if you install 2 sticks it has to be in the black slots? Also is the ram set within the BIOS to run at it's rated speed when using just the one stick, then attempted two with a voltage change after? Just another suggestion as I'd heard similar from old DDR2 motherboards.

About the slots, it doesn't matter which slots they are - they are just a different colour fulfilling the same purpose. Dual Chanell RAM has to be in the same colour of the slots AFAIK, leading me to the thought the mobo is faulty.

I will try that BIOS thing you mentioned.

Edit: Not sure what you meant, but you wanted me to check out 2 sticks after I perked into the BIOS to see if one stick is running at it's rated speed, right ?
In that case, I can't do that, because at the moment there is no remote way for me to use 2 ram sticks, as one black one is blocked, 2 blue ones dont work, so im left with only 1 black one.
