Display problems with CAD software

I am having problems with my CAD software. I use Rhino and Solid Edge/Works mostly and when drawing things i get weird display problems.

Say if i use the line tool to, click a base point and then drag the line, the path where the line has been dragged leaves a trail of flickering lines. Also with solid edge when a line is dragged, the area where it has been dragged shows the window underneath the file. So i see the open file etc.. window.

Its very annoying and nearly possible to work cos you cant see clearly.

Does anybody know what is wrong? im sure its got something to do with my Graphics card settings but im not sure what to do.

I have a XFX 7800GTX Extreme Edition

The obvious first thing to do is make sure you've got the latest graphics drivers. Do you?

ok i just updated to the latest drivers. Rhino is now working fine but solid edge still has the same problem.

here's a prtscrn of what is happening



you can see the orangey line and the area where it has been dragged shows the screen below. it only happens when you move, when the mouse is still it looks normal.
