Display problems

Hi guys

Right, brains are racking here.. and could do with a bit of wisdom

Ok, My xbox 360 Elite (fat one), will not display anything via HDMI cable to my Main TV..
Now yes ive checked the HDMI cable, ive checked ive got the TV on the correct A/V channel etc etc..

Wierd thing is, The xbox runs absolutely perfectly on my 22" bedroom HDTV.
With the same HDMI cable and everything...
But on my main TV, when i start up the xbox, i get a slight flicker on screen of the Xbox 360 Swirly Logo thing, then it flickers to a purple screen for a split second, then just goes black.. No Sound, and No Image...

Now this is the confusing part... My Playstation Super Slim 500gb Works absolutely perfectly on my main TV, through the same HDMI cable..

So recap of my problem without the nonsence..

Xbox 360 Dont work on my main tv, but works on my small TV.
But not the TV faulty because my PS Super Slim works perfect on it, with the same HDMI cable...

please help, its doing my head in, having to play my xbox from a distance of 10 - 12ft using a 22" screen just to play it,

Could it be a display setting on the xbox? Perhaps your small tv can handle whatever output the xbox is set to but your big TV cant?

try resetting the xbox display

Reset the console display settings

If the display problem is still not resolved, reset the display settings of your console. Here's how:

Remove any discs from the disc tray.
Turn off the console.
Turn on the console.

Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left light illuminated.
As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.

Yeah ive already tried that..
Gone to settings, Display settings, While connected to the small screen, then disconnected the hdmi and tried it on the big screen, Still nothing..

But thanks anyway

Just tried the Y and RT reset thing..
It all restarted itself and that, But still nothing..
Wont even put a flicker of the image on the screen anymore

So wierd, I cant help but put my mind towards an Xbox fault, But thats impossible because it works flawlessly on my small screen

have you tried googling the make of your main tv and the problem you're having to see if anything comes up?

Thats the thing though
It has been working perfectly since ive had it all. And now suddenly wont display anything on my main screen,
But like i said, it works like a charm on my small screen
