DisplayPort cable - Locking or Non-Locking?

I hate any kind of locking cable. It’s difficult enough to get to the cables on my system without throwing a lock into the mix that will increase the risk of me damaging the port.

Non locking all day. Never had an issue with HDMI so why does my DisplayPort need to lock! :P

Can't even remember ever tightening more than 1 screw on a VGA or DVI cable out of pure laziness
 
Locking. Loose cables are the cause of many problems, especially for high-speed connections like DP. A lot of DP cables have locking mechanisms that are really hard to press though, and it's not easy to tell which are the good ones without having them in-hand.

Would screws that break off and one way PCI-E socket be a good idea? Once you fit PCI-E GPU you can't remove it. Plus GPU CPU BIOS once it reaches 5000 hours of playtime, it wipes itself sending 100v into the core. You then have to buy a new motherboard, CPU, and GPU

I might suggest that :D
