Displayport to VGA Adapter Successful 3 Monitor Eyefinity

been looking around an official dell one costs < £20, must have been out for a while it seems

although it has a cable not just an adaptor

Sure so would I but, an active DVI adaptor is £90 on top of a VGA one at current pricing from Europe (not to mention out of stock constantly) and the OP on WSGF said he sees no difference on the two monitors on DVI to the one on VGA. What's ur reluctance, maybe i'm missing something?

What's the maximum resolution of the VGA, I never thought that a VGA (analogue) signal looked as good as the DVI (digital) on my 2407FWP's

OK - mine arrived today as well.

Have had a little while to play with it - on my Win 7 x64, 5970 BE, i920, 3x 22' Monitor system ....

Have issues getting all three monitors to run together - any two of three is fine (2x DVi or 1xDVI and 1xDP via adaptor) but not all three.
Windows doesn't seem to like enabling the DP monitor either - get an 'unable to save settings' message from Windows when I try.

Out of time for the moment - but it seems it is a maybe rather than a cert.
