As title, earlier in the year i dug some borders in our garden and put the soil etc in refuge sacks. However these are still in the garden due to my lazyness :(

Where can i take them to get rid? Would a recycle centre take such waste or is there a special place to go?

Cheers! Need to get it done :D

We had the same issue, only a lot more soil.
We took some of it to the local household recycling centre the rest we put in a hippo-bag-type thing (it was cheaper though). HHW should let you put half a dozen bags in there but I think they're pretty relaxed about it. Hampshire council grant licences for a certain number of visits to dump more than average waste amounts if you've got a lot other wise it might have to be a few bags at a time. It might be worth asking the council if you have a lot.

Hope that helps.

you can always dig a hole and bury it:D

or do the great escape trick and walk it out near your neighbours gardens

thanks for the answers, its not a lot really, maybe 7 bags like bin bag size. its just been out there for ages and is all wet and nasty so dont quite fancy putting it in the car! weighs a bit too so may see if they take it at the local place and then borrow the work van or something!

I'm planning to get rid all the gravel and topsoil from my garden bit by bit using my daughter at her nursery by copying the Shawshank Redemption! In all seriousness, a skip or the local tip is the best way. Check what the tip charges for and don't go in a van, many tips class all vans and pickups as commercial vehicles which have to pay for a permit to visit the tip. Check you local councils website first.
