disposing of a sofa? how?

Ive transported sofa's a few times using a normal hatchback car (seat leon). Just put it on the roof and tie it on through the windows.

Its been fine every time. These have been nice sofa's too which ive transported, with this junk one itd be even easier.

Did that with the first double bed I bought (well the mattress part!)!

Had a 1982 Fiesta with Vinyl roof at the time! Didn't have enough to tie it down so we just put the rope over the top of the mattress and held onto it!

Freecycle or ebay!

When I lived in Brighton you could just put it outside the door and it would be taken by someone, didn't seem to matter if it was working or not! There was a time when the neighbour put out their 3 piece suite while having the carpets cleaned....you guessed it, gone!! They put a notice in the window to ask for it's return, not sure if they got it back!

I notice you mentioned a third floor base. Is that in a house with a back garden? If so, lob it out of the window then take it to a nearby wide, open concrete surface and burn it.

Easier to have someone collect it for themselves for free of course.
