Dissuade me from buying 9900K

Thankyou very much, that's a lot better than I can manage with the 5960X! I typically get 46-50fps in YAAB and it's a good argument for not bothering with 9900K.
I just ran YAAB at 1920/1080 got 46fps, I get 33FPS at 4K so its clear Ryzen 2 is a lot better than the youtube vid I posted earlier in this game. Thanks for demonstrating 3700X with decent RAM is clearly a lot better than my current setup:) Hallelujah!!!

This is way faster than my 46fps at 1080/1920 so I may just be buying Ryzen after all. Quite persuasive tbh! What GPU?

3-5% gains on average would be absolutely huge from updates. Average is actually a couple percent improvement in games on average since release.

This 20-30% gap comparing the two chips is a massive outlier are you sure? What card and res was this 30% gap exposed with?

Whatever the case AMD drivers for this game are screwed.
I can't remember tbh and this game is as you say is a huge outlier nevertheless from the benches people have posted with 3700X at 4.4 vs 9900K at 4.8ghz the difference is actually much smaller than I thought.

i just ran the Arma 3 bench in 1080p standard on my binned 9900KF at 5.3/4000C14 with the 5700XT at stock and get 80-83fps as the runs differ by about 2-3fps.

at stock (4.7 all core boost) my 9900kf scores around 73fps, hence the overclock gives a 15% boost showing that the bench scales with clock speed.
Thanks for that. Nice chip!
