It was just a general suggestion, I figured if I was going to bad mouth one band I should offer a viable alternative. Korn suck now too sadly but they were onto something with their first album, as were Limp Bizkit actually.Abraham said:

Seeing as you are such an expert on the music industry, how about you post some of the bands you like and we will be judgemental on your taste in music. And i'm sure if Disturbed were that bad then their new album, 10,000 Fists In The Air would not have gone platinum and they would have been dumped by their record label.

I don't have to be an expert in the music industry to have an opinion on a band, and I couldn't care less if someone wants to pass judgement on my taste in music. I know very few people (outside this forum) that listen to and appreciate the bands that I do and who can't see the appeal but it doesn't bother me in the slightest.fireblade900 said:

As for a band going platinum, do you really think that because a band goes platinum (based entirely on record sales) that automatically makes them good? Furthermore, record companies couldn't care less about the quality of the music, just that the band are making sales and earning them money. The Spice Girls went multi-platinum with just about every record they released, and as much as they were cleverly marketed to teenagers I certainly wouldn't consider them talented musicians in any way (seeing as perhaps one of them could even sing between them).

there are some others but I doubt you'd have heard of them...

Apart from Isis who i haven't heard much of i have to say they all take distrubed, bend them over and savagely rape them from behind. (and i quite like disturbed, just they ain't particularly good live.)
