Hi there my friend is running the Division and is asking me why it's struggling,

1440P G sync monitor
2500K @ 4.5GHZ
8GB RAM
980 @ 1440mhz
Installed on an SSD.

He's saying that even on medium he's getting dips below 60 fps is this normal for this PC? does it require an I7 with hyperthreading or extra threads?

He's installed the latest nvidia drivers? any ideas fellas?

Hi, Snookums friend here.

The average FPS goes up as expected however still dips which I believe something is wrong I can only think the I5 has perhaps passed it ?

That's a great shame obviously I understand patches will solve the problems hopefully if the developers care :P

I'm thinking of upgrading to X99, 5930K 16GB RAM hopefully this will eliminate my problems.

this game is so playable you dont need to worry about the dips lol, i cant even touch 60fps outside of the menus with my system and range varies between 25-55 lol not that i have a quad or high end system hs.

hell ive been playing this spot on in the 15-25fps range before gpu change, regardless of the odd stutter the game does seem to be well optimised than you think.

I've been on Division with my i5 6600 and R9 380 and the play has been great. I haven't even looked at the settings but the video quality and game play has been excellent.

CPU is getting old now. even at 4.5Ghz its showing its age.
