DIY Dashcam mount

Pfft, amature hour ;)

It's going to be a long long time before I start screwing holes in my dash :p

Have been considering rigging up a camera for the sprint this weekend, if I get it done I'll post up some pics.

I'll be mounting a cam in my bumper, when mounted on the dash it gets too much glare.

Although if it's going to be really wet I won't bother.

Dash mounted cams are pants, regardless of how fast you go upon video playback it looks like you're going 2mph.

Bullet bumper cam is the way forward, dash cam is mostly pointless.

Yeah ideally I'd go for a bullet cam but the intention for now is to try and get some onboard video footage whilst spending as little as possible. Vix has an old handheld digital camera which does video so I'm going to have a go at mounting it on the rear firewall between the seats and see what sort of results I get.
