one of my fillings came out (an ancient silver one) and as the hole looked really clean inside i decided to have a go with one of those dentek kits from boots

i think the tooth is long dead as i didnt feel any pain once the filling came out but the sharp edge of the tooth was cutting into my cheek, so atleast the hole is plugged.

i guess its cheap and quick but its far worse than visiting a normal dentist and i dont think i would do it again

Never knew such a thing was available :o Should've stuffed some blu-tac in there :D
they have been around for years, i saw a diy guide on youtube.
zinc oxide power mixed with 100% clove oil which seems to be basicly what this kit is anyway, it would have cost about the same but you would get much more material.

i just went with the kit for easyness of not having to hunt around for the oil.

Go to the dentist. You're asking for more trouble if it's not filled correctly. Infection, more decay, dropping out at an inconvenient time

I presume that you are still going to the dentist to get it fixed properly?
yea this was just to stop the sharp edge cutting into my cheek any more.

i dont think theres any risk of infection though the eugenol stuff is an atiseptic and it says to swab it all over the tooth and seeing as the tooth looked so clean.

it was just one of the corners that had like a chip missing, it didnt go right into the centre of the tooth or anything if it did i'd be down the emergency dentists getting root canal or whatever.

I had a similar thing a few years ago, chipped off a bit of tooth, filling came out and then the pain not long after.

I used the filling kit a few times, it generally lasts 2-3 days before starting to fall out and takes the pain down to a level pain killers can deal with, I had to use the kit several times over a few weeks due to not being anywhere near a dentist and managed to survive infection free, but I did rinse my mouth out with salt water morning and night though.

Yep, that's what an essential oil is, 100% extracted oil from the plant, you cant sell it as an [insert plant name] oil if it is'nt. It has to be called something else if it has been diluted with a carrier oil.
