DJ Software And General DJ'ing Help

It's been a while since i listened to one of your mixes krooton so i've just checked out your latest psy offering and as usual it's top quality. It's much more my preferred style of psy compared to one of your earlier mixes i listened to. Nice high tempo, flawless mixing etc :)

Cheers :)

I'm doing 2 more by the end of the month, 1 with a light/uplifting theme, the other being dark :D

I've been submerssing myself in psy until some of the normal trance tracks I currently like are released.

Yep

Because you can see the waveform, it gives the music a more physical presence, and it made it easier for me to understand how it is structured and the like :)

Oddly, I mix far better on decks anyways, you cannot guarantee that mp3s are actually stable with their bpm sometimes.

Don't fall for the autobeatmatch function though, mainly because it is rather poor, and more importantly because then you wont learn how to pitch shift and match tracks up.

tell me about it :( traktor couldnt keep 2 tracks synced if its life depended on it, and the bars which show you how out of sync you are are wrong half the time

add that to the fact hitting cue causes it to play with a stutter half the time, which completley throws it all out of sync

its good to start with but i just wanna get more hands on now :D

I've not really listened to much psy at all the past few months if truth be told, i saw joof a couple of weeks ago though and he was outstanding. I don't think i've ever seen a DJ enjoy himself as much as he appeared to be.

Bring on that dark mix

In that case, and in all honesty, I'd say plonk down some cash for some CDJ200s.

You can get a pair for much less than a pair of decent decks, and the cost of music is much much cheaper than buying records.

As someone who has spent almost £4k on records, I wish I went cds a few years back, if only for the financial benefits :(

im eyeing up a pair of 800s and a behringer DJX700 mixer, should hopefully be able to afford the mixer within the next copule of weeks :D

i really want the vinyl mode feature so am willing to spend more on the 800s - even though a pair are gonna set me about a grand :(

one thing i dont understand about the 200s - how to you navigate through a track to find a cue point if they dont have vinyl mode?

krooton slightly off topic

What is the name of the remix of andain - beautiful things in your chromatic modulation 4 mix? It say breaks mix in the cue but do you know who made it? or which release it was from?

It's a remix by Koris & Djule that is forthcoming on Black Hole 200 :)
