DKs on WoW - Overpowered at 80?

I am currently trying to have fun with some PVP on my 56 hunter, however this is turning out to be horrible. Pretty much every Alliance is a DK, and they absolutely own me in about 3-4 hits, i just don't stand a chance. Are they like this at 80? I bloody hope not.
 
DK's are overpowered really at most levels compared to other classes, however they are getting nerfed nearly every patch, so they will be more equal eventually.
 
The whole game isn't balanced. Especially at low levels.

DK's, disc priests and paladins are basically everyones nightmare. DK's are worse though because they are so over used. Each patch they are hit with the nerf hammer though.
 
I wouldn't really PvP much until you hit max level, certain classes are much better at certain levels plus you get maxed out twinks who will give you a right beating.
 
well then hope they buff rogues cause the dk waz my main and rogue is me alt
rogue used to = instagib hope they fix it again hehe :))
also hope they nerf stupid pallys
 
I enjoyed playing my Death Knight while I did but I gave it up when they decided to ruin dual wield. I used to enjoy myself so much raiding with that spec, granted it probably did a bit too much damage but they basically took the possibility out of the game rather than reduce the damage which ruined the fun of my class for me. It's a shame they decided to introduce the class as powerful then nerf it into oblivion, sucks the fun right out of the game.
 
All I can say is that they are not hard to kill at lv80 in PVP, for me at least. I play a priest, got two fears. Usually use the one making them blow their pvp trinket, then immediately again and load them so full of dots I'm surprised they can walk :D.
But yea, they are OP and there is heaps of them around. You have to understand that most people suck at WoW and need to play the most OP class just to try and draw even with the more skilled players. In my opinion hunters need all the PvP help they can get right now. They've gone from an excellent PvP class in TBC to 'lol hunter, easy kill' in PvP. I load a hunter up with dots, turn my back on him and go kill a real PvP class. They're dead within 10sec.

Shadow Priests (my class) also suck at PvP but at least we have some tools to help us survive a tad longer than expected.

But again to come back to the question. DK's are OP and will be nerfed soon enough. You will see them in far lesser numbers in the future.
 
The thing is they aren't purely popular because they are powerful like the majority of flavour of the month classes. They are popular because they are new combined with being a good class. I think there will still be large numbers around even after they get nerfed hard.
 
Once they've wasted death grip which is a huge pain in the bum they die like everyone else, I got my Dk to 80, got all its mounts/epic flyer etc, not touched it since.

I remember when people moaned that Warlocks were overpowered.
I remember when people moaned that Shamans were overpowered.
I remember when people moaned that Rogues were overpowered.
I remember when people moaned that Mages were overpowered.
I remember when people moaned that Paladins were overpowered.
I remember when people moaned that Druids were overpowered.
Put it this way as soon as someone is killed by another player of a different class there is an uproar about overpowering and nurfing.

I dont remember a time when people moaned that Warriors were overpowered.
 
I like how people are saying 3.2 is when they get nerfed, actually I think you'll find nearly all the of the 'nerfs' are tanking related.

They'll still enjoy getting 9k+ Scourge Strikes on people in PvP after 3.2 (I love Frost/Unholy pvp spec with Cinderglacier).

But again to come back to the question. DK's are OP and will be nerfed soon enough. You will see them in far lesser numbers in the future.

Maybe you are just bad, Rogues are in a much better state than Death Knights in PvP. Go whine about those instead.

My YOU are just bad. Rogues pose no problems in any of my pre-mades. If I have to 'whine' (as you seem to have read it) about a class it would be paladins as they pose an immense challenge to kill one on one as a shadow-priest. It's just that I don't whine, I kill them all just as much as they kill me.

Really?! Out of all the overpoweredness, warrior was definately the most ridiculous when they had their day. Do a search for Pat on warcraft movies, this was pre tbc I think. A warrior an a healer was never so crazy, whole team would be wiped out by that duo, the warrior would kill people in 2 hits.

I think half the fun of wow must be moaning about the classes.
 
DK, so overpowerd that you still can't get in an f'in raid when they want DPS. Maybe if you have spent 4 years of your life grinding every epic drop you can muster they might top the tables but it's very hard to get to that stage.
