I'm looking to get myself a nice pair of sturdy DM shoes, as I've been told they would support my 'Gout Ridden' feet nice and comfortably.

Plus they're quite hard wearing, and I like DM's, I' not sure about the boots, so am looking at the Shoes mainly!!

I quite like the Classic 1461's (or 1460 Boot) but I'm torn between the standard/boring 'Black' and the Rudeboy(ish) 'Cherry Red'...

What are your thoughts GD?? What do you guys think!.. :)

Are DM's all they are cracked up to be!?, or is there an alternative/equivalent in Style/Price/comfort???

I just wear plain old boring black boots but they are comfy, I've worn them for work for years.

My dads got a pair of pink ones (amongst others). They look interesting when he wears a 3 piece suit and carries his briefcase. He once got asked by a client if he thought his footwear to be appropriate, he responded by pointing out "it's perfectly acceptable for a woman to wear pink shoes, why not a man? Unless you support gender discrimination that is?" client took the point on equality!

I've got a pair of black shoe style ones for work in quite a high gloss finish and also a pair of black safety ones too.

Went 'Off Piste' a little... didn't get the Bog Standard 1461's in the end!!

Yes they're Blue!, Yes they've got a 'patterned' inner, but they are comfy! and great support for my 'Gout Ridden' foot! (plus they were half price in the sale!) :D

Hi five to your dad, that's hard core.

I'd go for black op, also I once bruised my sole so bought some Nike's with a full air sole, never looked back the ultimate in comfortable footware available in all colours.

Rather you than me! But as long as you're happy and they're comfy.

Where can you visibly view, try on and get Dm's these days? Carnaby Street? Who stocks the most in a shop? would love to get some shoe type DM's coz know they would last! (probably ache as hell though first few days ;)
