*.Dng import help

Heres the deal I have a Canon Powershot s2is and shooting with CHDK in DNG+JPG, I use the Canon software to download the images to the PC but it only seems to download the JPG's is there a way to force it to download the DNG's as well or is there another "Automated" way to do it, i.e. plug in SD card and it downloads the DNG's for me?

Surely if you plug the think in via USB it'll appear as an extra hard disk? Just copy the DNGs off that

That's what I am doing, but was hoping for an automatic download function.

Canon software doesn't know anything about the DNG format, so it's not going to work. Something like Lightroom would do it.

I use lightroom as well but I like the fodler structure/naming that is auto' with the canon software.

Have you checked to see whether Lightroom can do the same structure? It's quite versatile.

I managed to get it sorted in "almost" the same structure, now to see if I can seperate the JPG's and DNG's...

Why not shoot just RAW? Is it because your cam can't show the previews?

I'm using a Canon S2 IS which shoots in JPG, but I'm shooting RAW (dng) viw CHDK - Shooting RAW + JPG.
