Back when I was on Be for a few months I had a few inaccessable websites etc..... then one day I tried Google and suddenly the websites started working again.
I totally agree with this, I got the GRC DNS benchmark when it first was devloped and had to manualy add the google DNS servers but they should be included now. The benchmark showed that googles DNS servers were about average, similar to most other DNS services, but my ISP (Virgin Media) out performed all other DNS servers on the list by a LONG margin.
Ive got a Win Server 2008 box running DHCP and DNS for all my needs, it caches commonly used DNS to speed lookups up, however it grabs all these from Googles DNS
Also I love being able to use the hostnames of my PCs on all the PCs in the house instead of editing a hosts file every 5 seconds
Just to be clear, I already have google's dns set up as my secondary dns...however, if I make it the first then the bt homehub has a spazzy and networked devices don't resolve correctly if at all.
