I am looking for a new TV and every time I set my eye on a model there seems to be a problem with it. From Backlight bleeding to banding to buzzing PSU's.

Are these common issues or do I need to stop reading AVforums. :o

Si, been too busy with work to do a review of the PK590, however i updated the firmware lastnight and i can't see a way to stream from LoveFilm, it's not really an issue since i'd run out and buy an HTPC if i was you.

Overall i've been really happy with the tv, based on me buying an initial two sets, my parents and two mates have gone out and got the same tv.

Sound quality isn't too hot from the inbuilt speakers (but i don't care since i don't use them), high gloss screen can make it a pain when sun is shining directly on the set.

No motion blur, black performance is fine, BD / SkyHD look great in THX

Thanks for that will look at the pictures later, I have an ae 5.1 set for so "und so that is fine. The only thing worring me is that the tv will face two windows and even though the blinds will be shut I am not sure that will totally fix the reflective issues.

Yeah the recviews of the set and the lg for that matter seem good, what hifi gave the sony 5 stars, its just that you read av forums and others and hear of nothing but picture issues which I dont want.

The exact reason why I take other user reviews with a pinch of salt. Find a list of TVs you're interested in, have a look at them in the flesh and then buy which ever one works best for you. Most importantly, enjoy it! That's why you bought it so..

Think I will end up doing that.

I'm waiting for this one

The ability to browse the internet on it using my ipad as a keyboard would be amazing fun :D and its got the other bits and pieces like 3D, dynamic LED lighting, Freeview HD, DLNA streaming, recording to USB drive etc..

Looks good but is over twice the cost that I am looking at.

I had a LG tv replaced 3 times due to backlight bleed.. The seller didn't want to refund me on the 3rd go.. I contacted my bank and cancelled the payment. Went for a Samsung LE46C650 after that fiasco and couldnt be any happier. I sympathise with the OP feelings as thats exactly what i was feeling at the time.

Thanks.:)

Stuck them in my mobile uploads, nothing fancy but it shows the software on the TV, google maps is quite slow to scroll, i think you can plug in a usb memory stick to speed things up.

I'd be shocked if LG didn't include LoveFilm at somepoint.

Cheers had a look at the pictures, they look good but I see what the reviews say about the reflective screen. Need to have a look at one in Richer sounds on Saturday.:)
