Do any modern FPS games offer online DM play similar to Unreal Tournament '99 and/or COD4?

Quake Live, Warsow, Shootmania, Nexuiz. TF2 I suppose could be your thing. There will be a remake of UT99, and also Doom 4, both on the distant horizon.

Can I just check with you guys - is Steam as much of a piece of sh#t as I'm beginning to assume it is? I have pretty mediocre internet at about 600KB/s but have so far downloaded and installed 3 games I got free with my new gfx card, as well as downloaded and installed this new CSGO game. Just double clicked the CSGO shortcut about 5mins ago to find that all of my games are no longer installed (or located on my drive) and steam seems to have been reset, as the default instal location etc is back to the way it was on first install. The game shortcuts are still on my desktop but all they do is launch steam with the option to download/install them. FFS

WTF is going on?

maybe to do with a steam update. In any case, your data should still be around in your drives

I love steam, if i cant buy the game through my steam i generally dont buy it.
