Do Bus's Control Traffic lights?

mind you like someone said about the lights priority changing

in the same manner the mechanism/system that gives priority to the bus could fail ...

emergency stop or shoot through the red ?

It has 3 priority levels from memory. Emergency services can use the highest priority, bus' and the like the 2nd and I've no idea who uses the third.


Vix technology provide most of the UK bus systems outside london (think siemens have tfl tied up). Its all part of the same system that allows bus stops to display live "time for the next bus" info.

Feel a bit sad knowing but used to fit the kit as a subbie for them :)
