Do cables matter?

I have a 24" screen that i will probanly run at 1900 x 1200. I have a hdmi and a vga cable and both are suported. Will tje quality be effected by wiich one i use? Thanks

hdmi would be better quality as vga is analogue

Thanks. Atm im using vga but im wondering wwether my new graphics card should have hdmi output.

some cards have hdmi but would more than likely come with one or two DVI outputs

As beerbaron said most come with two DVI outputs, but you can get a DVI-HDMI converter very cheap (some cards actually come with them now) which would allow you to use HDMI from the DVI port.
