Do digital games annoy you?

For PC no, consoles yes.

Poor pricing and lack off HDD space for early adopters of PS3/XBOX360 makes console digital downloads for full retail games a pain. Xbox arcade/PSN titles are great though.

For some reason though I like to see my console games but not my PC ones!

I have my favourites on hard copy, And also my collections. Like my studio Ghibli DVDs(Soon to be Bluray)

Everything else i'd like to try and keep them all digital.

Changing discs is just a pain. Has nothing to do with being lazy. Steam has made it clear that having everything installed onto a HDD is just better.

As above consoles yes I'd like to keep a hard copy at least you can take it round to your mates to play whereas a pc is more solitary, you gaming on your own, therefore less clutter and higher hdd space means digital copies are the future

Do games even had split screen anymore? What games are you bringing round to your mates to play?

Games like Fifa. Call of duty games allow online split screen and that's one of the most popular franchises out there. GT5, forza, halo all have split screen. Wii games are mainly turn based

On the xbox its just not worth it at the moment. It costs more than a physical copy and oviously theres no resale value so it makes no sense to purchase games this way.

I used to be someone who kept all his games and old consoles from way back in the megadrive era but these days I sell my stuff on. Games manuals are becoming a thing of the past - you dont really get them in Fifa, COD or Gears 3 so perhaps a move to digital is an innevitable process.

Im less attched to my physical copy in the days of mainstream gaming.

I prefer digital copies for games but the only problem for me is the lack of space on the hdd to fit all the games I have. I've had psn plus for a month and my ps3 is almost full with games they had on offer.

I splitscreen on a projector

That sounds disgusting.

They PS3 space is a problem. Some games are 10gb+. I think I saw one game over 15gb! Just buy a 1tb drive if you really want to download loads of games on the trey.

You need to explain...

How could 2 people playing on 1 HD quality screen with 50²" of surface area each be a bad thing?

its like playing on 2 HDTVs.

real life friends + massive HD screen and surround sound... Maybe throw in some alcohol..

Yeah disgusting

only thing that worries me about a service liek steam ( i do use it ) , is what happens if they go bust ? will steam still work ?

I'm torn between having to buy even more discs and my lack of fast internet available here which makes it hard to get a game before I could get it delivered/go into a store :O

This is my main worry when buying digital copies too. My Xbox live stuff for instance.

This is true too. Even if the company doesn't necessarily go bust, what's to say they don't stop allowing you to re-download the game in say 30 years time? Probably one of the benefits to having everything physical I suppose.

If the past 30 years are anything to go by anything 30 years old will easily be emulated. Im not going to worry in 30 years where my skyrim disk is and xbox 360.
