Do hard drives like being upside down??

I turned my main drive around so that It would get a better airflow and allow heat to been exhauled through the hard drive 'hole' better.

I have not had any problems.
 
The only mounting stipulation you'll generally find in hard drive data literature is that it shouldn't be mounted at an angle.

Horizontal, upside-down, on its side, on its head, or any other orthogonal position should be fine.

No harm in reading the installation guidlines just to be sure though.
