Do/how to tell insurers about this?

not sure if this was the rain-filled potholes on winding/tree'd country lane thread originally - thought that had damaged suspension though

If you are claiming against another party in court, as opposed to clandestinely paying for repairs (sub-excess) yourself, not sure how avoid your insurance finding out, since council could check on insurers database from reg,
to check there was no double pay-out/fraud .. ending up in any situation where you subsequently get refused insurance obviously catastrophic.

Insurance can categorically **** off. Can you imagine telling them you hit a pothole and they increase your premium because you told them about it, because they would! *****.

I hope you get something back from the council, too. I wrote off an alloy wheel a year ago near Cadwell Park and should've challenged the council for it but never did.
