Depends if your games are CPU blocked or GPU blocked, I bought a 7900XT from a 6800xt to improve my FPS in Fallout 76 (yes I like to spend cash too) and got no real difference, I dumped in a 7800x3d from a 5600x and got a decent bump in FPS (and my wallet).ahh ok, yeah, i see what you mean, it probably makes most sense getting a 5080 as apposed to other components first?

Yeah, I see your point mate, will see how I get on at 4k first and then make a decision..
I tried atomfall briefly at high settings 4k and was 100+ fps so in that optimised game I was happy with it.
