Do I have a chance 6800 XT and 6900 XT?

you are either a bit dense or trolling. These ppl are laughing because they have saved themselves cash and if they had waited they would have paid more money.

How is pointing out that paying £50 over the odds is "a bit dense or trolling"?

Isn't the bigger point the consumers (we) are been ripped off paying more than the RRP, again fair enough if you see it a different way, I won't call you dense or assume you are trolling.

I think people here missed what Gibo said in one of the other posts, in the 3060Ti discussion - that he will post links to these (not AMD but 3060Ti) for a day or so in a locked part of the forums to which only people with min 1000 posts have access.

I guess the AIB of the 6900XT will be out early next year.

Options right now are

1 Pay an additional £800 - 1000 more than the card you actually want. i.e the 3090 which pretty much everyone agrees is not worth it.
2 Hope your one of the lucky ones in grabbing a 6800 series AIB card or 6900XT reference or a 3080/3070 which is very unlikely.
3 Wait....for mainstream availability.

And in order of a sensible approach reverse these options.

6900xt releases in 5 days, 8th, make sure your ready to order on the second they become available, get your card ready multiple web browsers and hit buy and checkout fast, u should get one then

is there any pricing for the 6900 yet? apart from the speculated 999$

Of course, any respectable stock checking bots out there already have links to AMD website, with price visible there in pounds. It's £899.48 currently with UK VAT - it changes all the time depending of the currency exchange rates. But that also means, these bots will alert scalpers instantly and all will be gone in seconds. As usual... :/

I don't think there's much chance of getting anything at RRP.

I'm not sure when there will be. Maybe 2021 H2?

Some people are much more optimistic, but I can't help thinking this situation is going to stick around longer term.

For sure, there's nothing coming in the near future that would spell "better". Instead, lots of things that spell "worse".

They are rats, and someone should call an exterminator!

Sadly, consumers enabled them and their excuse is that it's a capitalists (ergo, smart) thing to do. Ergo, nothing will change, it'll only get worse for a while longer. Only big stock can revert it.

Big stock and/or legislation. They did it with event tickets, now it's time for electronics to follow suit.

Legislation is highly unlikely. The big difference between tickets and consumer products is that tickets are for one-time event and it won't come back - when it's gone it's gone. Consumer products on the other hand can always come back into stock, hence legislators do not care about that.
