I want to build a PC capable of running games on high settings with a 3 monitor set up with all the peripherals including a steering wheel and excluding an OS but not sure what kind of budget I should be looking at.

My initial thoughts is £2,500 for the whole lot but not sure how reasonable that is.

What should I realistically be looking to spend?

Well you will need two graphics cards to keep up with three screens.

I really like my Dell 24 inch U2412M IPS screens. Three of these will cost around £700, but you can spend £2500 on screens alone, it all depends what you want.

Triple 16:9 is total meh compared to triple 16:10, in my humble opinion. Widescreening wide screens? If you're going to go so wide, a little extra hight makes all the difference.

YOUR BASKET
3 x DGM IPS-2402WDH 24" LCD Widescreen Professional Monitor - Black £179.99 (£539.97)
Total : £561.38 (includes shipping : £17.85).

Minimum option :)

YOUR BASKET
3 x Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24" Widescreen LED Monitor - Midnight Grey £239.99 (£719.97)
Total : £746.60 (includes shipping : £22.20).

Prefered option :D

Is there no issues with gaming on a 29" monitor? I always figured a 3 monitor set up would be best as I figured it would feel more immersive but I the bezel is an off putting aspect so maybe a 29" monitor is a better solution provided it doesn't come with issues I wouldn't otherwise have with 3 monitors.

Personally i would go with the 29" setup instead of 3 monitors just for the ease of setup. It is an absolute pain to set up get looking right and don't get me started about the bezel correction that you have to go through to make it all work well.

I built my system with 3 screens

finally built my rig.
was going to do i build log but didnt really have time, cant really belive how smooth everything went.

I use it more for Photo editing and stuff not really gaming. I did play arround with games in eyefinity, you dont really notice the bezels but it was quite a bit of work to set up properly, I think if playing games was what i used it for most i would just get 1 hi res, big screen

Touche, How about can I achieve what I am looking for with a ~£2,500 budget? That is actually powerful enough to run smoothly.

Maybe a monitor set up like so.

Then this type of racing wheel.

I use one of those Dell monitors, and is great. Being glossy makes reflections irritating at times, but apart from that perfect.
