Hi all.

I have the OCUK Prisim 9300i below:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-224-OE&groupid=43&catid=2040&subcat=1270

I have an Asus GTX 670 and want to add another. I have check my motherboard is good to go and space in case etc. However;

Is the 650 Watt PSU enough and does it have enough connections (i.e. 4 x 6 pin connections, 2 for each card?).

Also is it worth getting the TOP version for the second one (the orginial being a non TOP version)? Or do they have to be identical?

Thanks in advance, hope to make a purchase today.

That psu is not the best, it only has 46A on 12v rail so its more like a 550w psu but it still should be okay as long as you don't do any overclocking.

No point wasting money on the top version when your other one is the standard. They don't have to be the same but the price difference is not worth it and it will run at the speed of the lowest one anyway.

As for the cables.. you should be able to find that out yourself :D

Edit- just checked a review of the psu and you won't have enough cables. It only has 1 6 pin and 1 6+2 pin. You will need to buy some molex->6pin adapters if you want to add another card.

OcUK spec. says it's an OCZ ZX 650W but I assume, as spixelspixel seems to have done, that it's an OCZ ZS 650W as there isn't a ZX 650W.

If it is a ZS 650W then spixelspixel's comments apply.

As said above it would appear that there isn't a ZX650 PSU but there is a ZT650. But unfortunately according to the OCZ website they don't do a PSU under 750W with the required 4 pci-e 6/8 pin plugs.

I have that PSU and run two 5870's on it and a 4.2ghz i7. It's right on the limit, any attempts are overclocking the cards fail, but I think the 670's are slightly lower power so you might be ok...
