Hi guys

I've just purchased 2 Samsung F4 320's which i want to set up as raid.

My Specs are as follows

1x 36gig Raptop as OS Drive
1x 74gig Raptop as Games Drive
1x 640gig WD AAKS Storage drive
2x 320gig Samsung F4's

Motherboard is Abit QUAD GT.

I've had the board in AHCI mode and have windows 7 installed on the 36g raptor.

When changing the chip functionality to RAID, windows 7 will BSOD which i know is down to AHCI.

Is there anyway i can run my 2 samsungs in raid and maintain my current install?

Thanks :)

This is probably better off in the Windows forum.

That aside, you may need a reinstall. Switching from IDE to AHCI can be done by enabling the AHCI driver in Windows. However, I never found a way of going from IDE/AHCI to RAID - at least in SBS 2008. I was lucky and my board had a second SATA controller I could use for my boot drive.
