Do I need a firewall & AV for Windows 10 if I'm installing it in a virtual machine?

My daily operating system is KDE Ubuntu (KUbuntu). The last time I used Windows was 3.5 years ago (Windows 7).

I now need to use Windows from time to time.

If I install Windows 10 in a virtual machine (in KUbuntu) does that Windows 10 virtual machine need a firewall and anti virus suite?

Windows 10 includes Windows Defender which is enabled by default, you shouldn't need anything more than that.

You don't need to treat it any differently than you would with a bare metal installation.
The built in windows defender is good enough for most peoples needs. The firewall is on by default.
