Do i need a HDD

Well im getting a OCZ vertex 4 256gb and was wondering do i relly need a HDD?
I wont have much on it only th OS? Would it turn slow if it was to fill up with the likes of photos and videos and steam content??

No need unless you run out of space.

But please make sure you're backing up anything important, a USB stick or HDD is cheap or there's online backup.

If you want to also put photos and videos on the PC, then get a HDD. The Steam folder will be fine on the SSD, assuming you don't have too much games that will fill the SSD (friend's steamapps folder is over 200gb compared to my small ~80gb :eek:

).

Yeah, get a 500 internal, and another 500 external for backup.

Should i get a 512gb ssd just to be safe??
I already have a 3tb external nearly full with all my media{(which needs to be spring cleaned

) and was thinking of getting 2x2tb for the new build and have all that on pc aswell??

I just use a 240gb ssd and set network drives from my HP microserver .

If you only gonna have OS,games,programs 256 is enough!

There's no point in buying a regular hard drive just to put files on if you don't need the space.

Everything on an SSD is ideal.
