do i need a new psu to run this

if even you admit your psu is of poor quality, buy a new one even if you dont need one because if your psu takes out your pc and you know you could have done something about it by changing it, you will not live it down.

i concur with the conclusion the good psu is the corsair
 
33a on 12volt is loads sounds like a good psu,i have one more question if i was to try the card on my psu first would it hurt the card if the is not enough amps could my pc explode or anything.
