Do I need an internal HDD?

I'm going to be building a new tower in the next couple of months. I have a 2TB USB 3 External HDD. If I were to only incorporate an SSD into my build (For example 250GB SSD) would I need an internal HDD or would my external HDD be an appropriate alternative?

The system will mainly be used for gaming and video editing and at the moment I use my external HDD to store all video files I edit.

Yeah, I'd say so. I'd put the games on the SSD however.

If you have a tower surely there's plenty of room for one anyway?

USB 3.0 would be pretty quick for transfer speeds though.

I'd get an internal drive.
I'm assuming you only have one backup of your video files?
Get a big enough internal drive and defo have two copies at least.
