I currently have only one hard drive installed, a WD Black 640GB. I have everything on this, music, OS, programs etc. I have been thinking of installing another to provide backup so I have a few questions
1: Should I install another?
2: If so how should I set them up? Just use the new one to backup the existing one or OS on one, everything else on the other?
3: Will all the cables I need come with the hard disk?
4: WIll my PSU be fine? Corsair HX 520W

Thanks everyone:)

1) You should have some form of backup certainly. A second HDD is a simple way of doing this

2) Having a backup means having 2 copies of the stuff you backup. This means leaving everything where it is at the moment and a second copy on the second disk. Whether you use something like Acronis True Image to take an image copy of the original or use Synctoy or the like to do a file by file copy is up to you.

3) No, if you buy an HDD from OCUK you'll just get an HDD on it's own.

4) I'd recommend getting an external drive, either as a pre-built unit or getting a bare drive and a caddy. That way you only have the drive powered on when you're accessing it so it's safe from power spikes, OS corruption etc when it's not in use.
