Do I need anything but the driver? (AMD)

I heard somewhere that you don't actually need any of the extra stuff, like catalyst control center, just "the actual driver".

I don't actually use CCC, I change all of the options in-game. So, is it true, do I not need the extra stuff?

If so, how do I only install the driver without the extra stuff?

right just instal your win7(thats what you using?) and the updates will sort a good driver for multi core amd/evil(intell)

control centre is useful for things like scaling and sli, overclocking etc but you don't strictly need it.

it doesn't take much HDD space up though

If you just want to install the graphics driver you can do so by selecting custom during install and just selecting the display driver when you get to the page below, it would also be a good idea to update the sata, usb filter driver if your mobo has an AMD chipset.

You can also update the driver by using the update driver button on the display properties.First download and extract catalyst and just follow the instruction when you click the Update driver on the display properties under Device manager, you need to navigate to the folder where you extract the catalyst driver.
