I once thought this was marketing guff, but our shampoo/soap lasts aaaaaages now.

I have a Harveys water softner which cost £1,650 and buy 10 blocks of salt quarterly for £50. Its expensive but the difference in quality of water is like night and day, our Kitchen, bathroom and kettle have zero limescale.
