This is really embarrassing for me to ask but I can't seem to find the right answer from browsing motherboards on OCUK site or watching youtube videos.
So I'm doing some research on upgrading to a Ryzen build in the future, bare in mind the last time I built a PC was some 10 years ago and have not kept up with the scene as such. I watched a few youtube videos about m.2 and wanted to get a motherboard that supports it. Here's the issue I bumped into, I realised there are two formats: NVMe and PCI-E versions. Both with different connector types on the bottom of them.
Having browsed a few motherboards, cheap and expensive, they all seem to just say "m.2". One youtuber mentioned a motherboard that has both of these connector types on the board itself. Am I to assume all new motherboards support both formats now? or is this an Intel thing? or what?
Any help on making this clearer will help. Thanks in advance.
