Do not fall asleep on the M6

Don't more people get injured on the roads due to tired drivers than drunk/mashed people?

Obligatory amphetamine at service stations!

I just woke up from an odd dream and this seems the most appropriate thread:

I was taking my test again, got in, ignored the test guy, put a magazine on my knee and started reading it...Then continued to read it as I did my test...and flew through it.

at least when you're drunk you're actually trying to drive.
when you're asleep you are a million times more dangerous IMHO.

Nearly happened to me coming back up the M4 - I'd been drinking until 5am in Crete, got up early to pack, flew home in the afternoon, back to Gatwick by the evening and had to wait an hour for the cases. By the time I got back to the car park and stuff it was getting late and I was flagging. I knew I was in trouble on the M4 when my hearing started going weird, like phasing in and out as if I was underwater in a busy swimming pool.
So, I pulled in to a services, kipped for half hour, then got up and had a walk, a can of coke and 2 mars bars. I livened up a bit after that.

Since then when going on educationals I used the National Express. It might take longer but sod it, I'm not busting my ass to get home for work the next day and jeopardising my safety.

SOunds like you were lucky, I can understand how its done, but luckily it has never happened to me.

I dont do a lot of motorway driving, but went to Donington last weekend, over 2hours and plymouth this weekend and motorway driving is very boring, I would hate to do it day in and day out.
