As per title - is it still that you have 14 days to return the contract, or am I stuck?

Its from a retail T-mobile store if that makes any difference. And I've had it for a day.

does it not say in the terms and conditions they gave you before you signed up

Sorry, I am gonna hijack the thread for a hopefully staight answer. I have never received a contract through the post from a mobile phone purchase/upgrade over the phone before. Never signed anything in 5/6 years. How does that work? Does agreeing over the phone imply acceptance of T&Cs? Anywhere I can get more info?

I thought the cooling off period was a legal requirement! That's what they told us when I worked at P4u (*dons flame suit*)

No cooling off period unless you are having a signal issue in one of the 3 areas they should have done a street check on when taking out the contract. No street check, no refund. Got stung with it myself.

(saying that I'm actually happy with the service I've had and extended my contract)

on the T-mobile website you have to tick a box to accept youve read and understood the T & C effectively signing i guess. on the phone they normally say that agreeing to this contract is acceptance of T & C but verbally,

says on Tmobile site that you have 7 days to return product for a refund

you can always ask for a copy i would think though.

on the web you have distant selling regulations, wheras in a shop you accept the terms, examine the goods etc and as soon as you leave the shop you're on your own as far as they're concerned.

I don't know how it would work (how strictly they check it themselves) but as long as you gave them the addresses to check with their Street Check, they do say they will allow you to return a phone within 14 days if (you just claim that) where you work/live is a basement, for example, and you get spotty reception... ;)
