Im so used to online gaming that when I play single player it becomes rather lonely feeling.

But then again atm I have a crap social life and no job so without internet I dont get much social interaction tbh.

However you can say it enhances feelings such as playing dead space etc..and that eery feel or fallout or skyrim you become immersed in a deep rich world.

Perhaps if i had a rich social life and job as i used to then a few hours solitude single player gaming now and then would be a welcome escape from life whereas its not that SP gaming is a lonely exp. just my life situation at this time makes it feel that way.

NO EMO LOL

No, I'd say if anything I feel the opposite - multiplayer (non-coop) sometimes feels a bit 'sinister' and doesn't allow me to relax.

The loneliest feeling in the world is being on a minecraft server with tons built by many, but you're the only one there. I dunno why but it always makes me feel... empty. :P

No, though I did after a sad event in my life, and in the end I found myself going to bed early rather than game. I guess it's how other areas of your life are going that will obviously influence your mental state, which will then overlap into other parts of your life.

yes sp can be relaxing when mp gets demanding.

I used to enjoy and look forward to the alone time after work/school etc nothing bette than getting lost in fantasy.

I guess my specific problem is with no job or social life I always feel i should be working on these 2 aspects rather than game at the present.

I know what you mean, IRL for me i'm a bit shy and tend to keep quite amongst my friends, but when im online my chatty side comes out :D I dunno, it just feels like im not talking to anything, to a wall, so i can really express myself without others judging me.

Oh we judging you son... don't think we aint

:p I kid, but in answer to OP. No, not at all. As PGdude and arc@css said before it sounds more like your personal life/situation is influencing this. Single player games are great, and for me far more immersive as you don't have people typing "Lol pwnd you n00bz" e.t.c .

Depends what kind of mood I'm in, if I've just been playing with trolls on LoL or another game, it's nice to relax with a nice SP game. Some SP games make me feel sad and lonely though, probably the bad ones :p

In the same boat, I get out when I can but I can't really afford more than a couple times a month, even that's a stretch. SP games feel lonely (even really good ones) but that's probably because I've been out of work so long, I've just played too much.

As for multiplayer, I'm not at all interested in playing with randoms, it's only fun when playing with friends but my friends spend so much time working. Not into the whole clan thing anymore either, more trouble than they're worth sometimes.

I do go to college a few times a week, but college is full of neds so it hardly counts as social interaction lol just keep applying for jobs and hopefully it picks up soon!

No, I love a good single player game. I hate it now that almost every game gets coop tacked on and you feel like you should be playing coop. That's one thing I like about Skyrim, you can just play it and relax.

Games like L4D are completely different as they're designed for coop. Although saying that it was fun trying to get golds in survival mode with just bots. Makes for quite a challenge.

yeh i used to like gaming online with my mates in bf etc but now i dont think they play and with randoms feels even more lonely as i used to do it with my mates.

Online feels lonely these days as I was used to doing it with IRl mates but now I dont.

Single player has always been my way of choice. I use it to get away from people.

For me the online multiplayer experience always seems to degenerate to the point where some utter **** wit starts screaming at me/every one else to play the game his way. 'tis overrated in my opinion.

A few SP games make me feel 'alone'. I feel this is more to do do with my lack of social life/friends though.

I remember playing out all day with friends, id love to get away from all that and play some single player action, it really drew me in cause it was such a change from being with friends all day.

It's now the opposite, i work 8 hours a day, alone, and come home and im still...alone. Playing a SP game just reinforces the fact im 'alone' and gets boring quickly, i wish it didnt :( i want to be 12 again.

I Usually go on skype or teamspeak even when playing SP. So although i have nothing to say about the game to them, it stops me from crying myself to sleep.

No, i play MMO's on my own as well, unless i encounter something that requires more than just me, but i'll give it a good shot at attempting to do it on my own before i start looking for help, like Heroic 4's on SWTOR, soloed enough of those.

I normally just play SP games in all honesty because I like not having to deal with angry teenagers.

I'll play MP occasionally but I usually find SP engaging enough to hold my interest. Playing my way through the ME series has been amazing.
