Do we need a eyeball in front of our nose.

Had to cut a piece of 65mm square downpipe yesterday -easy - It should be if you can find your set/tee square to mark all round. Searched high and low so did it by eye.
Today I went in garage and started to turn it inside out - I remember having a tidy up and putting them in a tool box -Couldn't find them. Did a clear up and looked up and thought what's that - pushed it with my hand -Oh it's light nothing in then thought look anyway.
Sure enough all of them were in there so now sorted and box marked.
If I had a eye on end of my nose I would have seen it yesterday.
I hate days like this.

I need glasses to see my glasses when I put them down or ask if someone's seen them. I also can't find what I want when I want it.

have you been in my garage.......... i have a new dremel in the case , tidied the garage 2 weeks ago and noticed it. you guessed put it somewhere safe.
damned if i can find it grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

A third eye would be worth a pot of gold. I have a few tools in cases so put lables on them when tidying up. It does save a lot of swear words

This thread makes me feel so much better.

It was only two weeks ago doing a DIY task I was thinking. Right in future I just buy new tools for the job. Every time, as I was so annoyed at the usual. Have a short amount of time to do what is needed. Then bam waste twenty mins searching for the stuff needed.

I tidied the garage for ages this week to find a big dustpan. I found it outside in the meter storage unit. No no, not inside with the brush!

Two eyes see everything in front of them perfectly well. Whether that gets processed properly is entirely down to the brain.

This annoys me so much. When doing a particular job I find myself stopping what I'm doing to search for a particular tool, go back to the job only to stop 5 minutes later to find another tool or material! I've decided that a tool bag of some sort is what is needed to keep the most used hand tools in it to reduce the number of trips to the garage.

Sorry for bringing AI into the conversation but I've just thought of an actual useful application of it (instead of the drastic surgery of relocating your 3rd eye) - "hey Alexa, where the **** did I put my ferrule crimper?", "on the 3rd shelf, 20cm from centre to left, under the Chinese takeaway containers you were keeping that you thought might come in handy one day but forgot about too". The wife DLC at the end of her response should be optional though.
