I second 'Heartbeats'. I was in a kind of relationship at the time and it made me realise that it wasn't beautiful like the song - and therefore not good enough!
Ever heard a song that just stops you. Stops you completely, and as you listen, you can relate to every word, you feel the song completely, and it becomes your song, your anthem.
It changes your perspectives and alters your decisions, affecting your life, for better or for worse.
Have you ever experienced it?
If so, what song was it, and how did it affect you?
In a week a lost my job, my dreams, my girlfriend. It was the most unreal pain I have ever been through. In that same week i was ripped off by two lads and I felt it so hard to continue in this existance. I got home and put on Evanescence to cheer me up but when My Immortal came on it summed up how I was feeling so badly I couldnt deal with the pain any longer that I tried to commit suicide.
I failed and that was 5 years ago I got through all that but I would say yes music can effect your life. On the other side Kool and the Gang - Celebration always makes me smile and want to dance and Andrew W K - Party Hard always makes me want to headbang like a complete fool.
Music has the power to inspire emotions and thoughts in us it can conjure up powerful memories of bliss and sadness, if you can ignore all your emotions and live like an empty husk then music wont have that effect on you. Music can be food for the soul it can inspire you, it can please you it can do so many wonderful and incredible things to the way you percive the world around you.
In the end if you cant find that deeper emotion its your loss. For those who can it could enrich your whole existance
