Just read an article on the 50 most powerful blogs in the world right now and am making my way through the ones I found interesting enough to click through (how depressing that my own laziness dictates what I read!)

It got me to thinking, do the members of my "home" forum blog in any way? Sometimes I really find that I enjoy writing about things that happen. A lot of the time, I start a thread about it on here to chat with you lot but I could, just as easily, blog about it.

I must admit that there are a few people on here that I sometimes think "I wonder what they're like, I'd read their blog" (not saying who, I don't want to turn this into a backscratching thread!) and I'm wondering if any of you guys blog. I know a couple of you are, but I thought it might be quite interesting if people linked to their blogs for us all to have a good nose around! Give it a bit of an intro if you feel you need it (and no adult content please!) but links will do!

Noones life is intresting enough for me to care about reading what ever those fools get up to.

Sometimes i read blogs that affect me like the google adsense blog

that's quite sad. I don't think you have to care about the individual before you start reading, I find that I start to after I've been reading for a bit.

I don't have an opion on enough things to warrant it, plus if I need a rant I'll do it over IRC or on MSN.

I'd read semi-pro's, clv101's, HangTime's and maybe Fox's.

The worst part about being an idiot is not knowing you are one.

Nope. I have my own life to be interested in, and don't really have the time to make my own, not that many people would read it...

I do, but it's more of an Apple/Gaming/Tech news site than a blog. Also got a couple of 'guest posters' too, so not even sure it can be called a blog !

Linky in siggy. Shameless advertising F.T.W. !

Not interested if I'm honest. The same reason I don't care for social networking sites - I'm not into the idea of people sharing their life stories/images with others.

I'll only read if they have something useful/worth while to say.

Thats quite sad. My blogs ive read are all rubbish, people either try to make social observations or try and be cleaver some how.

I used to have one when I was part of an internet security group, but once I left that, I just dropped it, too much hassle to keep updating etc.

i think most people that first make websites make a blog of some sort, maybe only ever add like 3 entries, you know, welcome to my site etc, oh this game was cool, nothing happening here so thought id make a post, then stop, as to do this is very eay these days with the likes of wordpress or even just manually adding the text and pages using notepad.

i find personal blogs extremely boring, though i find ones that are about the subject i am into, i.e coding, can be really interesting from really experienced people, like i view one of some guy that has done some really amazing stuff and to be able to get the tips from this guy is just really great

I do. Tends to just be about my life though, what's bothering me, what's making me happy, what I've had happening. Can't imagine it's particularly interesting to the casual reader that doesn't know me; a few of my close friends read it and like it. I tend to use it as a method of getting stuff off my chest or just talking about what's on my mind. All of the writing I do these days is for academic purpose only, so I like having somewhere that I can just be myself and express my thoughts. Whether it gets read or not doesn't really matter.

Started it just as a bit of fun back when I lived in South Africa - we'd moved to a small town and I'd finished college, so I had nothing to do and didn't know anyone in the area. Wrote about small things at first, then about my state of mind, then about my move from SA back to the UK for University. Been updating it around once a month ever since.

There is a difference, I wouldn't read a blog on someone’s day to day life unless they did something extra special, like Amazon Explorer or Captain of the Enterprise. Reading Blogs of people who report the going's on of the world by giving a different view of the News and event's or people who give a proper review of a game’s etc.

I would advise ignoring him, he will say the opposite just to get a rise, waste of blood and organs.

I've got 2. One is for me to catch up and keep in touch with friends in other parts of the world really easily, the other is my business one.

I use a social networking site to keep in touch with friends while i am abroad. Does that count as a blog ;o) Its like a diary, i update it when I manage to log on somewhere! I have only been home for 2 weeks this year!
When i am at home texting is far easier (and cheaper).
